My name is Monique Ades. I am sixteen years old and For my senior project I am riding across the US to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. I have wanted to ride my bike across the country since I was a little girl and my senior project seemed like a good excuse to actually go through with it.
For my charity I selected the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. When I was about five, my Great Papa was killed by Alzheimer’s disease. For a seventh grade research project, I researched Alzheimer’s, what it affects, how many people it has killed. I knew for my charity I wanted a cause that in some way benefited those with Alzheimer’s. During my research last summer, I stumbled across AFA and knew it was going to be my cause. I loved everything it stood for.
In the future I want to go into neuroscience or become a neurosurgeon. I want to assist those with neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, multiple sclerosis or Brain Cancer. Please join my mission and help me achieve my goal.
